 *Essential Oil Blends for Winter – Feb. 2nd 12-1:30pm – Essential oil blends are “nature’s nectar” consisting of aromas that range from floral, citrus, woodsy, musk, herbal, spicy and sweet. They are fun and easy to prepare by combining a variety of scents together diluted in a carrier oil. This blend can be used “neat” directly on the skin as a fragrance or used as an ingredient to make other herbal products- sprays, bath oils, balms, additive, insect repellant, etc. Learn the basics on using essential oils and how to blend oils by choosing which ones go well together for desired results especially for winter. *Herbal Balms, Bars & Butters – Feb. 2nd 10-11:30am – Balms are natural moisturizers that you can make with a few basic ingredients- with or without fragrance. They are perfect for chapped skin and as a wound remedy for cuts and scrapes- use on face, lips, hands and feet. Learn how to make basic herbal balms using oils, waxes, butters & essential oils during this demonstration class. You will get recipes and instructional handout on how to make this versatile product- balms, bars & butters for gifts and personal use.  *Create a Succulent Zen Garden- Make & Take. Feb. 16th  12-2pm Succulents are attractive, easy to care for container plants. In this class you will learn how to make and take care of your own decorative succulent garden that can be hardy outdoors all year as a living arrangement. *Chakra Workshop – Mar. 2nd 10-11:30am – Chakras are our bodies inner energy centers that help us function on all levels. When we activate our Chakras we help to heal emotional wounds and physical ailments, balance our circadian rhythm and enhance inner peace. This class covers the basics of the 7 main Chakras and how to align them using crystal chakra kits, essential oils, meditation and herbs. Class includes a handout, Chakra Test and eBook. *Smudging- Purify & Protect- Make & Take. Sat. Mar 2nd 12-1:30pm.  Smudging is the ancient practice of burning fragrant leaves and flowers to purify an area or provide protection from negative energy. In this class you will learn smudging techniques, meditations and which plants are safe to use for smudging. *Create Lawn Envy – Mar. 16th 10-11:30am – You should never have “lawn envy” again after you have taken this class. We will cover organic & natural techniques, tricks and tips for you to have the lawn you desire with minimal effort- it’s all about timing. You will also learn which grass species thrive in the PNW; types of fertilizers and soil amendments to use; mowing, watering and over seeding vs. sod. Healthy lawns start with healthy soil! *Pruning Your Landscape – Mar. 16th 12-1:30pm – A fabulous landscape is not only well planted, it is properly groomed. Pruning is not only for the appearance, it can enhance the health of your trees, shrubs and perennials by decreasing risk from disease and insect damage. In this class you will learn basic techniques, tools and equipment, what times of the year to prune as well as how to dead head flowers for prolific blooms.
