Garden with the Seasons- Tues. Sept. 27th 6-7:30pm Learn why working with mother nature makes gardening easier! In this class you will discover what you need to do to seasonal prepare your garden for fall and winter months while getting a jump start on spring and summer. We will cover when to cultivate your garden and edible plants, as well as when the best times you can plant, transplant, propagate, prune, mulch and fertilize your landscape. Includes a year- round garden planning by the moon schedule; cool/warm season veggie guide, handout, and eBook- SPSCC College Lacey Campus.

Water Harvesting Techniques- Tuesday October 25th 6-7:30pm. Efficient water use is increasing in importance. Rainwater harvesting is an innovative approach that can help to capture rainfall using it for landscape irrigation and many other uses, especially during our dry summer months. We will examine rainwater harvesting and storage techniques as well as stormwater management and rain garden design and construction. Class includes handout, eBook and design consultation. Nature’s Immunity Boosters. Tues. Nov. 15th 6pm-7:30pm. Now that we have ditched the masks, aren’t you tired of worrying about being sick every winter?  Learn how to increase your immunity using certain foods, teas, essential oils and herbal supplements as well as other natural techniques. We will cover how to prevent colds, flu, allergies and general immune system enhancement. Class includes a handout and eBook. SPSCC Lacey Campus.

Herbs Everyday- Tuesday October 11th 6-7:30pm. Herbs are food and vitamins as well as medicine- that’s why it is important to use them everyday. Choosing which herbs work most effectively and duration can be confusing and intimating. In this class you will learn why and how this process works by understanding herbal energetics and the three body types or doshas. We will also discuss the different herbal forms and how to infuse herbs into your lifestyle from a practicing herbalist with 30 years’ experience. Class includes a handout & eBook. Herbal Medicine Chest- Tues. Nov. 8th 6-7:30pm. Learn how to stock your herbal medicine chest with easy to make home remedies using herbs, spices, and other natural ingredients. Fun to do with friends and family. Explore what you can create in your own kitchen and share with friends and family. Join Certified Herbalist Kerri Bailey as she shares her 30 years of experience and recipes with you. Students will learn how to make- herbal vitamins, tinctures & extracts, balms & butters, herbal sprays, essential oil blends, tea blends and bath salts. Class includes a handout and an eBook. Chakra Workshop – Tuesday December 6th 6-7:30pm - Chakras are our bodies inner energy centers that help us function on all levels. When we activate our Chakras we help to heal emotional wounds and physical ailments, balance our circadian rhythm and enhance inner peace. This class covers the basics of the 7 main Chakras and how to align them using crystal chakra kits, essential oils, meditation and herbs. Class includes a Handout, Chakra Test and eBook.
